APA’s Chapter Relations Department exists to guide, support, and recognize local chapters. Learn a little more about each member of our team and how we assist the local chapters.
Chapter Relations Department: Liz Herrera, Laura Reyes, and Julianna Hunt
Laura Reyes – Reception Coordinator/Chapter Relations Support
Laura joined the APA in January 2017. If you have called APA headquarters, Laura is the friendly voice who answers your calls. In her role as the Reception Coordinator/Chapter Relations Support, she assists visitors of the San Antonio Meeting Center and Payroll Learning Center. Laura also processes the study group, chapter event, re-affiliation, and mailing list forms for chapters.
Laura enjoys shopping, decorating, and spending time with her two sons, Ryan and Ricky, and her grandchildren, Damian and Nayeli.

Julianna Hunt – Chapter Relations Coordinator
Julianna joined the APA team in January 2018 after graduating college and relocating to San Antonio. She enjoys attending and participating in live theater and decorating her cubicle with her original artwork. As the Chapter Relations Coordinator, Julianna coordinates local administrators for APA’s one-day seminars, organizes chapter contest entries, and much more. If you are a chapter leader, chances are you have received an email from Julianna answering your chapter-related questions. She works closely with Liz to assist with the Annual Congress and Chapter Leadership Summit, and also writes copy for chapter marketing materials.

Liz Herrera – Chapter Relations Manager
Liz joined the APA in March 2005. In her role of Chapter Relations Manager, she works closely with the Board of Advisors at the Summer Board Meeting and manages all aspects of Chapter Relations’ projects. Additionally, she oversees the annual Chapter Contests, NPW Contests, Chapter Leadership Summit, and advises APA members who are interested in starting a new chapter and helps current chapters that may be struggling with membership or operations. If you have attended APA’s Annual Congress, you may have seen Liz at the Chapter Exchange, dressed up in a costume for the Costume Contest, or on the dance floor during the Thursday night party.
Liz enjoys spending time with her husband, Leo, and taking their dogs, Tito and Monkey, to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park trails.

Mark Coindreau – Director of Public Relations, Video and Chapter Relations
Mark joined the APA in 2004. If you have attended APA’s Annual Congress, you have likely seen Mark on stage during one of the general sessions or at the orientation for new attendees. He has also attended several chapter Statewides and Regional Meetings in the past four years. Mark works closely with the Chapter Relations Department and Liz to guide APA’s efforts to support its chapters. He also works with APA’s Public Relations team to help promote the payroll profession to leading media and on social media and by directing APA’s annual National Payroll Week campaign.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his 3-year old son Mason and his wife, Marianna.
