Wednesday, July 14
“Leadership: Currency, Change, and Creating a Powerful Presence”
Carla Harris, Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley, inspired us in the Opening General Session of Congress Xstream with “Carla’s Pearls.” Did you know she is also a gospel recording artist and the author of two books? In this presentation, Harris shares the components of positioning yourself to maximize success as a leader in your current career environment or in the environment you desire. The concepts of performance currency vs. relationship currency are explored, as well as how to manage change, create change, and become an impactful and influential leader.
Thursday, July 15
“What I Learned From 100 Days of Rejection”
Jia Jiang knows first-hand how the fear of rejection can hold us back. Our natural tendency to avoid being rejected at all costs can be detrimental to our businesses, our careers, and our lives. Determined to change and confront that fear, Jia takes us down a path where rejection, instead of being avoided, is deliberately and actively sought after. He asked complete strangers questions like, “Can I borrow $100? Can I speak over your store’s intercom? Can I get a burger refill?” The surprising answers led him to a whole new world. Jia’s insights will help you overcome your fear of rejection and create opportunities you have never imagined.
In addition to the general sessions and workshops, Virtual Congress attendees will also have opportunities to connect with vendors in the Expo Hall and network with other attendees via chat and face-to-face video calls. The conference will be available on-demand through September 13.
