Marketing a payroll conference requires strategic presentation of the incentives and benefits, especially when it comes to attracting first-time attendees. Without familiarity of the event, employers may require proof of credibility before investing in registration. A great way to accomplish this is by placing in the APA’s annual Best Statewide or Regional Meeting Contest and establishing your conference as a national award-winning event.
The contest recognizes the excellence and hard work poured into chapter-hosted events and judges them on the quality of planning, marketing, theme, education, and attendee recognition. Include in your entry plenty of photos, marketing materials, and any other supporting documents that showcase what makes your events so special. All entries are due March 1.
Winners will be revealed during the Chapter Exchange at the APA’s 37th Annual Congress in Long Beach, CA on May 15. All winners will receive engraved acrylic awards, as well as digital banners for use in future promotional material and on the conference website.
If you’ve already won this award or win in the future, take advantage of the accolade in your event promotion to boost registration and reach potential new attendees!
