Tiffani Gray, CPP

Payroll Manager

Riverside Health System

 

 

Tiffani is the Payroll Manager for Riverside Health System. She has over 23 years in the payroll industry, a B.S. in Accounting from Hampton University and obtained her CPP in 2017. Tiffani is an active member of PAYO, the VA Statewide Payroll Conference (VSPC) [currently VP], the Hampton Roads Chapter of PAYO [currently Director of Education] and sits on numerous PAYO committees [Social networking, Education Advisory, CIDTF, etc.]  

In 2022, Tiffani was awarded the Payroll Professional of the Year award by the VSPC, inducted as a PAYO National Speaker and was published her first article in PAYTECH magazine as a member of the Board of Contributing Writers. She is widely known for her highly energetic and innovative personality and has a passion for payroll education, social media management, & multi-generational mentorship.  Tiffani currently resides in Newport News, Virginia with her husband Chad, her three children: Gabrielle (11), Makayla (10), and Sterling (8) and their beloved dog "Hero".

Rebecca (Becky) Harshberger

Payroll Tax Expert 

 

 

 

Ms. Harshberger (retired 01.12.2024) was the VP & Practice Leader, Payroll Tax at Entertainment Partners (EP) in Burbank, California for 20 years.  EP is the back office for the motion picture, television and streaming industry, providing payroll and film incentive management as well as software that most of the industry uses for budgeting, scheduling, accounting, data insights and document management. 

Considered an expert in State and Federal Payroll Taxation, Becky provided Tax guidance for US employees working on productions in both the US and around the globe. Previously she was a Senior Manager, at both Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers National Payroll/Employment Tax Practice’s in Los Angeles. Prior to her employment in public accounting, Ms. Harshberger held positions in unemployment claims/payroll tax consulting, human resources and recruiting at both private and public companies.

She joined the Payroll.org (FKA America Payroll Association) National Board of Directors in 2020 as a Vice President and was elected as a Director in 2024. She has served on PAYO’s National Speakers Bureau since 2011, and Co-Chairs the PAYO Government Affairs subcommittee focused on Federal issues since its inception in 2014.   Becky represented the APA on the IRS Information Reporting Committee (IRPAC) from 2011-2014, chairing the Employment and Benefits Committee from 2012-2014.

She received the APA Meritorious Service award in 2014 and the APA Special Recognition award in 2020.  Also in 2014, she was California Payroll Professional of the Year.  In 2024, she was named Payroll.org Payroll woman of the year! 

Becky has chaired the San Diego State University, Fowler College of Business, Dean’s Board of Advisors since 2021 and has mentored business students since 2019.  She received the SDSU Alumni Award of Distinction in 2022. 

Becky and her husband reside in Santa Monica with their dog.  Becky enjoys yoga, gardening, and cooking.  During the pandemic, she resurrected her love of crochet and quilting!

Steve Hodgson, CPP, CPTD

Director of Learning & Development

PayrollOrg

 

 

Steve Hodgson is the Director of Learning & Development for PayrollOrg (PAYO). As a business strategist, he plans, designs, and implements payroll education curricula.

A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) since 2001, he earned the Certified Professional in Talent Development designation (CPTD) from the Association of Talent Development (ATD) in 2017, which augments his current role.

A board member of the ATD Greater Las Vegas Chapter since 2019, he currently serves as the Chapter President, 2023-2024.

He first joined the PAYO staff in May 2004 as Director of Speaker Administration, overseeing the National Speakers Bureau and coordinating professional speakers and workshop leaders for PAYO conferences. Next, he served as Director of Payroll Training for 13 years, presenting, developing, and reviewing PAYO training courses. In 2020, he moved to his current Learning & Development role.

A payroll practitioner since 1991, he was an active member of the South Carolina chapter with several board roles and assisted with speaker hospitality for the Carolinas Payroll Conference.
