Before you make that decision, let your APA Board of Advisors and APA’s Chapter Relations team help you. Start by sending an SOS email to ChapterRelations@AmericanPayroll.org with your concern and we will coordinate a meeting with your regional Advisor and the Chapter Relations team to discuss in detail what challenges are facing your chapter. Once we understand the situation, we can provide you with ideas and connect you to other leaders who have faced the same challenges and prevailed and can help you formulate a plan of action to get back on track.
If you don’t contact Chapter Relations, there are other ways you can get help from other chapter leaders.
Use the Chapter Leaders Facebook Group to share your struggles and get ideas. It’s free to join and you’ll gain instant access to hundreds of fellow Chapter Leaders.
Or, if you’re just looking for a way to drum up some additional members, use APA for mailing lists. APA is happy to provide your chapter with an APA member mailing list twice a year or once every six months. Use this list to market your chapter and/or chapter events.
Speaking of those events - make sure to register your chapter’s events with APA – this is additional marketing for your chapter in which APA members and the public can view chapter happenings in their area.
And, of course, be sure to visit APA's Grow Your Chapter page to find ideas for meeting topics, requesting speakers, etc.
No matter whether your chapter is thriving or needs a little extra help, chapter leaders and APA are always here to lend their support. Don’t hesitate to take advantage of these resources.
