Chapter of the Year Contest Redesigned for 2019

During APA’s 2018 Summer Board Meeting, the Board of Advisors made it their mission to redesign the 2019 Chapter of the Year Contest, and they did not disappoint! The revamped entry process streamlines the contest for 2019 with fewer and more focused questions. The Advisors have ensured that chapters will receive the recognition they deserve without spending excessive hours on their entries.

2018 Chapter of the Year: Greater Nashville Chapter

Check out some of the featured contest changes below:

Shorter Questionnaire

The COTY questionnaire now consists of only 23 questions instead of the original 38. It also requires less documentation.

Focus on Accomplishments

The questionnaire concentrates on accomplishments for the year and provides chapters of all sizes with the same opportunities for recognition.

New Chapters’ Choice Contest

In the new Chapters’ Choice Contest, chapters will be asked to share their most significant accomplishment of the year. Responses will be shared (excluding chapter names) in a poll on social media. The chapter whose accomplishment earns the most votes will win!

Learn more about the contest and how to enter by visiting the “Annual Chapter Contests” page on the APA website. Comment below and let us know what you think of the new entry process!

2019 Chapter of the Year Contest entries are due February 15, 2019. Winners will be announced during the Chapter Exchange at the 37th Annual Congress, May 14-18, 2019 in Long Beach, CA.
