This is the moment we all have been waiting for! We are excited to introduce you to the APA Chapter Leaders Facebook Group. This group was created through a suggestion made by the current Region 8 Advisor and Co-Chair of the Social Networking Committee, Ansleigh Smith, CPP (loud applause for Ansleigh)!
Her suggestion was to create a place where chapter leaders could collaborate and network with chapter leaders on Facebook. This group is designed to allow us all the opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and learn about ways to grow our chapter(s) and increase member participation. With the help of the APA's PR and Social Media Manager, Cynthia Crise, this group is up and running!
Join all nine of us regional advisors in this collaborative, inspirational, and networkable tool that will instantly connect you to us and to your fellow chapter leaders, through a platform that most of us use- Facebook. Click here to join this group made specifically for you, by you, and of you. Join with your personal Facebook profile and/or your chapter’s Facebook profile.
There are a few guidelines that must be mentioned related to this group:
- You will be asked three questions when requesting access to the group. You must provide a response to each question to be granted access.
- Upon receiving access to the group, we ask you to provide your chapter name and leadership position as a comment to the post from Ansleigh welcoming you to the group. Please be sure to comment to add to the conversation.
- As with many Facebook groups, posts will be monitored and approved to ensure that they meet the guidelines for valid posts. This is to help prevent posts that may include advertising for vendor products and negative and/or argumentative remarks. Please keep in mind that this is a professional environment promoting networking and collaboration. If you would like to post something and question its validity for this page, feel free to reach out to your Advisor before posting.
We are thrilled that because of an APA Board of Advisor’s proposal presented to APA’s Board of Directors this Facebook group has been created and are certain that it will help all of you with leading your chapter(s). Please keep in mind that this group only works through your sharing and collaboration with other chapter leaders. Take the time to respond to posts, ask questions, and share a few ideas of your own.
Let’s start connecting!
