There is nothing like the holidays to bring families, friends, and coworkers together. So why not do the same for your chapter?
For your Chapter’s holiday meeting, encourage every member to bring a non-member to your Chapter’s holiday meeting. Have the non-members drop a business card or fill out a short contact sheet to be put into a drawing for a free chapter membership.
Once you get the non-members there, below are a few holiday-centric ideas perfect to help break the ice and make your meeting a fun night to remember.
Gingerbread House
Purchase several gingerbread houses and let party patrons put them together and decorate them. If your chapter is competitive, you can make it a contest! This is a great way to let your chapter members bring out their creative and competitive sides. Don’t forget to have your members invite a friend!
Christmas Karaoke
Set up a karaoke station with a microphone and a projector or tv screen to display the lyrics. Everyone can take a turn singing their favorite holiday songs or even their favorite song in general.
Ugly Sweater Contest
We all have that one sweater that we cannot wait to break out during the holiday season. Let your members, and their non-member guests, show off their favorite ugly sweater by making it a contest and a dress code. When inviting your members and their guests to the event, be sure to let them know the dress code so everyone has a chance to get into the spirit.
Not sure if throwing a party is right for your chapter? Consider these additional ideas to celebrate the holiday season, all great to bring a non-member!
- Plan a community service outing
- Host a virtual happy hour
- Take your members bowling
- Go to a paint-a-plate store
