These lists can assist chapters with launching membership recruitment campaigns, sending alerts about upcoming chapter educational opportunities, or inviting new payroll people to chapter events. **Each chapter may request two mailing lists a year or once every six months.** To request a mailing list, follow these three easy steps: 1. **Prepare** Begin your preparation by carefully filling out the “Local Chapter Mailing List Request Form,” on page 49 of the [Local Chapter Guide on the APA website](https://www.americanpayroll.org/chapters/grow-your-chapter). Be sure to include a sample of your email or flyer when submitting a request to Chapter Relations. The mailing list can be used for many purposes, including:![](https://blogs.payroll.org/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Aug-18-2021-03-41-08-19-PM.png?width=300&name=image-png-Aug-18-2021-03-41-08-19-PM.png) - Promoting chapter membership - A chapter meeting or special event - Chapter CPP/FPC Study Groups - A Statewide or Regional Meeting - Volunteer opportunities 1. **Review** After filling out the request form, review the guidelines outlined in the “List Trade Agreement,” on page 50 of the [*Local Chapter Guide* on the APA website](https://www.americanpayroll.org/chapters/grow-your-chapter). The data shared by APA must be kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for any other purpose besides the purpose stated on your request form. The mailing list must be used within 30 days. Also, be sure to review the information on your “Mailing List Request Form,” to ensure all information is accurate. 1. **Sign and Submit** Once you have completed the previous steps, sign the second page, and submit the completed forms, with a sample email or flyer attached, by email to [ChapterRelations@americanpayroll.org](mailto:ChapterRelations@americanpayroll.org). All chapters are encouraged to utilize mailing requests to their advantage. While all chapters are eligible to request two mailing lists per year or once every six months, chapters who host a Statewide or Regional Meeting will receive one additional mailing list upon request.
